Ninja Mode: Default State

Category: General

What it does: Sets the default visibility state for Ninja Mode in the K8s Resources sidebar.

What is Ninja Mode?

Ninja Mode is a special view mode in the Kubernetes Resources sidebar that changes how resources are displayed.

Options

  • Enabled (On): Ninja Mode is active by default when you open Kunobi
  • Disabled (Off): Normal mode is active by default

Important Note

This only sets the default state. You can still toggle Ninja Mode on/off anytime using the ninja button in the sidebar, regardless of this setting.

Think of this setting as choosing which mode you prefer to start with each time you launch the application.

How to Change

  1. Find Ninja Mode: Default State in the General section
  2. Toggle the switch to your preference
  3. The new default applies on next application launch or page refresh

Use Cases

Enable by default when:

  • You primarily use Ninja Mode view
  • You want a streamlined view when opening Kunobi
  • You prefer starting in compact mode

Disable by default when:

  • You primarily use the standard view
  • You want full resource details on startup
  • You occasionally use Ninja Mode but don't need it by default

Toggling During Use

Regardless of this setting, you can always toggle Ninja Mode:

  1. Look for the ninja icon/button in the K8s Resources sidebar
  2. Click to toggle between modes instantly
  3. Your manual toggle persists for that session
  4. Next launch will use your default preference again
